My brothers and I were sitting around the dinner table with our grandfather, playing card games. When our grandpa started to cough really bad. "Are you ok? I asked him. "Yeah I will be just fine." He said. In the middle of the game he fell asleep.
We looked at each other and thought maybe he just fell asleep it was normal after all for a 92 year old. He woke up. I drew a few cards and won the game. He then said "Good job Billy" grandpa my names Eric.
My brother said. "I know Billy" "grandpa you did it again." I said. "Let it go." Mark said to me. "Dang it I lost again I'm going broke." Grandpa said grabbing his wallet and setting twenty dollars down on the table. "Dang it I lost again,I'm going broke." Again grandpa pulled yet another twenty dollar bill from his wallet. "Grandpa we didn't start a game you didn't loose." I said. Grandpa than said "I lost again?" He took out his wallet. This time I looked at my brothers and I got up slowly and said "grandpa you should lie down." "Why?" He asked. "You keep repeating yourself. And we're worried." "I am?" He asked. "Yes" I said. Just then a yellow piece of paper fell out of his wallet. Mark grabbed it and started to read it. Grandpa got really mad all of a sudden and grabbed the paper back.
My brothers face went from being calm to terrified. "What happened?" I asked mark. Grandpa... is..Is true?" Grandpa looked down to the ground. "yes" Mark looked shocked. "What is it?" I asked again. "Grandpa has stage 5 cancer. And he denied chemotherapy." Mark said.
