I would rather be writing and finishing my novel.  Time and money are two essentials for everything in this realm.  Since I have awakened I mustn’t stop preforming my daily routine.  I do have a dependant that is in college, the bills have to be paid, laundry needs to be done, so on and so forth.  There are days I feel my energy zapped as I have different roles in my life.

I express myself through writing. It has been my solace for many years.  I watch Youtube videos on managing time, setting goals, manifesting dreams, etc.  I become frustrated with the routine.  I want to be who I am.I am a writer.  It feels like there are chains keeping me from doing the one thing that I love.

They say you have to make the time.  If I go home make dinner it is already 7 p.m.  My cellphone will ring or people will text, so I turn it off.  It is the only way that I can write or else people will distract me.  They say they understand, but they do not.  It is an oxymoron really.  You have told them that this is something that you need to do for yourself.  They say yes good for you, but the moment you don’t answer their call or their 1000 text messages they think something is wrong.  Why would there be anything wrong?  I am enjoying my craft.  When I am done I will respond.

I am starting to understand how I have to think of me first.  The decisions I am going to make in the future will be for myself.  I cannot be authentic in my being if I don’t become a little selfish.  People don’t like the new me they like the old me.  The new me thinks of herself and she is more assertive.  The old me was a mat where everyone could step on.  The old me would not say no.  The new me will say no.

Everything we do for others is important.  Being kind is important.  But there is only a certain amount of time in the day.  You come first and everything else second.
