The sun is getting lower.

The sky is beginning to turn the same color as the dead leaves around me.

The only noise I hear is the calm water moving upstream.

A soft breeze runs across me that my hair lightly dances too on my face.

The tree I am sitting up against is smooth and comfortable.

I’ve always loved being in the wilderness.

Me and my brothers spent so much time in the woods as children.

Even to this day we work to spend as much time out here as possible.

God, I miss them so much.

A group of pigeons lands by the river bed.
The pain in my stomach intensifies again and i can’t help but scream.

The birds fly away and i’m alone again.

Back to enjoying the last beautiful scene i’ll ever see

It’s amazing how much you learn to appreciate everything just as you’re about to die.
