I must break free of this monotony...

The song that’s playing

I no longer want to hear,

It’s the very same one

I’ve been hearing now all year.

A different ballad I request,

For this one isn’t quite the best.

It’s mellow, sad and depressing,

Leaving me always second-guessing.

The ballad of my heart continues to play,

Like the same monotony of every day.

The one that refuses to leave,

The one who forces me to grieve.

About a younger me and all my dreams,

That girl is gone and so it seems.

And before I dive into despair,

I’ll change this song that I can’t bear.
