Leaves floating down, to find a soft cushion

Sending out tranquil ripples

A clear blue tropical paradise

Right before my eyes

I dive in penetrating the surface

Cool, refreshing water infiltrates my body

I close my eyes and relax

I watch time fly, too fast

I step out, up the stairs to my smooth warm towel

I dry off, and leave my pool content

Walking towards my dear home

I hear a weird laugh

A laugh that’s so strange

It makes my mood change

My goosebumps stick up

I hear a bloodcurdling yelp

That just makes me think

My wife needs some help

I run inside

just to see Lora fall

And a little boy

With a knife ever so small
