Barchen Fortress.

Mari is currently helping the attendants in cooking the dinner for the day. Since she is the class president, it is her duty to take care of her classmates. Of course, she wasn't the only one helping, for Karen and Iza also lend their hand to make the work easier.

While Karen is washing the rice and Iza is grilling meat, she does the chopping of the vegetables. While busily doing the task bestowed upon her, she accidentally cut her finger, and the blood began to drip on the chopping board.

"Mari, you have a cut on your finger!" When Iza glanced at her, she became shocked when she saw blood dripping from her finger.

"Mari, stay put. I'll heal your wound." Karen calmly said while applying Healing Magic on her wound. A few seconds later, Mari's wound disappeared without a trace.

"You always say that we should always be careful, but you got an accident with the knife..." Iza said to her jokingly.

"Fufufu, Iza is right." Karen added while chuckling.

Mari only went silent for a while.

"I'll go to the restroom for a moment." She hurriedly said to the two, while walking briskly towards the door of the kitchen.

The two who are left behind looked at each other's faces in wonder.

"Hey, Karen. Don't you think Mari is acting strange these days?" Iza asked her friend.

"I don't know. Maybe it's because of the burden of being the class president and our representative in this kingdom."

Since the day they were transported to this world, Mari has been always keeping in touch with the King of Arandel to report about the conditions of her classmates.

"No, there's that, but Iza thinks that there's another reason why she's like that." Iza said in a serious tone.

"L-Like what?"

"For example..."

Mari returned to her room instead of going back to the kitchen. Her breath became rough, as if she ran for a long distance before entering her room.

"That vision again..." She muttered as she looked at the mirror.

Her reflection showed a Mari with a face filled with fear and anxiety.

"Inevitable...death. All of us, will die..."

By that words, tears began to spill from her eyes.

"I tried to simulate the events in the future, but all of the routes ended up with us getting a man wielding a white sword."

She said in fear as she looked at the mirror. More tears formed on her eyes, that her glasses became blurred from the water. If her [Foresight] suddenly triggered, it means that something bad will happen with a hundred percent certainty.

"Why...why am I seeing things like this?"

She plopped herself to the floor as she continued to cry.

After fixing her appearance for a while, Mari went to the dining table. She saw her classmates sitting around it and chatting in high spirits.

"Hey, Mari! Come sit here. We're waiting for you!" Karen asked her to come.

She walked slowly to her seat beside her and Iza.

"Now that everyone's here, let's eat." Kai said to everyone.

The whole class ate happily, but for some reason Mari didn't touched her food. She just stared at her classmates with an expressionless face.

"Mari, are you alright? You didn't even touched your food..." Karen said in a worried tone.

The other classmates also noticed her strange behavior and one by one they began to ask how she's feeling right now.

"I-I'm okay. I'm just tired from the day's activities, so don't worry too much. Hehehe." She said while smiling wryly.

When her classmates heard that, they resumed eating.

'As I thought, I can't say it to them.', she thought to herself.

The next day, she talked with the King of Arandel about the visions that she saw in the past few days.

"So you're saying that...a powerful enemy will come to us?" The King asked in surprise.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I've been seeing the same omen in the past few days, that's why I can say it for sure." She replied with a serious face.

"'re also saying that everyone will die?"

"I hate to say it, but yes." She said as her hand gripped on the hem of her clothes.

"Is there any way to avert that impending doom upon us?" The king asked in with a troubled face.

When the King heard that, his face tightened to show that he's having a hard time accepting that kind of future.

"...But until this morning, I saw again an omen."

"Another omen?" The king said in surprise.

"Yes, Your Majesty. A person wielding a sword with black flames appeared and fought with the man with a white sword. My vision's still hazy, so I didn't saw what happened next..."

"An omen, one after another. Are you sure about this?"

"Yes. My omens will certainly happen in the future."

The King thought of something for a while, then looked at her.

"Well then. I'll order the knight order to prepare for the battle that will happen at Sadari. I'll also send a letter to the King of Narashel about this matter." The King said to her.

"B-But..." Mari muttered in surprise.

"Even though the future isn't in our favor, we still have to fight no matter what. It would be shameful for us if we retreat because of that omen." He said in a strong tone.

The king glared at her.

"Mari, I'll leave to you the duty of telling your comrades about the things that you saw." He ordered Mari.

"Y-Yes, Your Majesty."

She bowed her head, and began to walk outside the audience room.

'I can't tell my classmates about our imminent end...' She said to herself.
