Hello, my dear

I see you there wandering all alone

What could it be?

Is it that you’ve lost your way home?

I’ve a nose for direction

A sense about which way you should go

Do you trust?

Shall I lead on?  Or will you say ‘no’?

Come, come!

Let it be that I take you along the safe road!

How is it to be?

Will you thank me when you’re safe or boot me to and fro?

Be thankful, my little dear

For I didn’t have to help, I could’ve kept you for my own
