Call me heartless

Yes, I know

I too once had a heart

I wouldn't let go

I once asked for love

A hollow laugh crossed the hall

A laugh that echoed

Before it saw my heart fall

I asked fellow man

For advice and a map to follow

They gave me a maze

And a voice that's hollow

I needed a brother

So it borrowed a human form

I Imagined him one

He shaped himself into a storm

So, I saw some

Watch murder for sport

A few humans less

The more the peak will have their sport

So I sought justice

For me and for all

I found others heartless

A mechanical cog to install

I hear, I listen to a cry

To souls steps from the missile

They won't know life like you and I

I remain heartless as they’re beguiled
