Like clouds of ice hanging above the sea
They dance upon them softly, oh so gracefully
Piercing the light as it falls so slow
Their worries fade, oh they know

Like the cold gentle touch snow fall would give
They caress their feelings so they can forgive
But as the light begins to dim, they wallow in sorrow
They feel the ice breaking, oh hurry tomorrow

Like fallen leaves taken by the wind
The clouds begin to split, broken once again
They watch as the ice cracks, as their mind goes dark
They see the sky crying, oh where is its heart

Like the wings on a bird, take one and it'll fall
It'll tear towards the ground because of its flaw
They yearned for perfection, nothing else would suffice
To dance upon the ice, oh wouldn't that be nice
