The night was silent, the houses were still,

But there it was, upon the windowsill.

Only Heavens knew what it was,

With hairy ears and sharp, black claws.

Two large slits, were it’s so called nose,

With slime and grime trickling down to it’s toes.

It howled and growled,

Then moaned and groaned, it smelled rancid,

Like sweat and bone.

I couldn’t believe, my eyes that night,

As I looked upon that horrific sight.

My mind went blank, I froze in fear,

If you're smart, you’ll listen here,

This is my advice for you, now listen close, oh please do,

Those beasties are nasty, through and through!

So keep away! Don’t go near!

If you treasure life so dear.

And that is all I have to say,

So I’d best, be on my way.

But do bear in mind, my warning to you,

Because I am not lying, so please, let no argument ensue!

I recounted the truth, of that terrible night,

Every single awful sight.
