Admiring the pristine beauty of a majestic forest,

Feeling liberated and jovial, cherishing life at its best,

Suddenly the environment explodes with gunshots, instilling fear,

Shattering the mild and quiet tone of a serene atmosphere,

Taking refuge in shrubs there he views the hunters,

With guns pointed at unseen prey like the vile punters,

Sensing the grisly danger he hastily flees the macabre scene,

To avoid a gruesome fate that many of his species have seen,

But fleeing sadly brings him right in their sight,

They shoot him at once, so much to their delight,

He tries to rise but his injured limb fumbles,

His massive body slumps as he tumbles,

They approach in silence and shoot him again,

Making sure that their efforts are not in vain,

He stares blankly as tears trickle down his sunken cheek,

They smile with pride, carrying another rare animal in their jeep,

He suddenly wakes up, trembling in fear and utter fright,

Heaves a deep sigh of relief to have woken up at night,

A stark realization illuminates his inner self, a divine insight elates him,

A solemn pledge sworn that he will never hunt again, never on a whim.

Say NO to Hunting!
