Satellite Moon

It hangs there high,

up in the sky;

it’s all around the world.

The same moon for you as for me,

all the way across the sea

where my thoughts are hurled.

I’ll whisper to it all my dreams,

tell it things and so it seems

that moon, it really listens;

it sucks it up, it sends it out,

straight to you, I have no doubt,

but still that teardrop glistens.

That lunar rock, it is my friend,

upon it I do so depend,

I’ll trust it with my heart;

a way that I communicate,

send my love to turn up late

but never to depart.
