Heavenly Hands

Her hands look just like mine

My blood flows in their veins

I look at them and wonder

About the times they fed me

About the times they washed me

With motherly waters

Of the times they radiated warmth

That forced tears out of my eyes

They caressed my infant face

They calmed my loud cries

I bet if I roam this whole world

I wouldn’t find in a hand such a story told
