The Boy Who Cried Wolf

In a small village there was a boy. He worked with the sheeps after an old man had given him the job of being a shepherd for his sheep. Not only was it that the man was old but he was also the friend of the boy's mother. The boy's mother was very worried about the boy's behaviour and to test it , the old man and his mother had made a plan.

The boy went there to the sheeps on his first day at work. He was very keen on being a shepherd-his father was a shepherd too. The boy,Alex, had also been keen on being known for doing things good.On his first day, he was told that if he sees a wolf then he should cry out 'Wolf' so that he and other villagers can come out to help him and the sheeps.

He started his job- looking after the sheeps and it wasn't long before he started to get bored. He thought and thought and finally decided to do something very cheeky. He decided to give them a fake warning about a wolf.

"Wolf! Wolf! Help the sheeps are in danger!" Alex joked. All the villagers who heard him cam running to help and try to get rid of it. However, when they came to the sheep area, they saw nothing there. Once again Alex lied saying that the wolf had run away after he chased after it. Everyone was proud of him and congratulated him.

Alex knew that he wasn't telling them the truth and that a wolf didn't come to the sheep. But he was enjoying all the praises that he got and all the congrats that he received. Once again he called out sayig that there was a wolf again.

This time people did come but not as much as the first time. He finally told them that it was a joke and bursted out all the laughter he kept within him. People were more than just furious.

Now the wolf had actually come."Wolf! Wolf!" Alex screamed. But no one came - they all thought that he was lying again. Alex had realised what he has done as a mistake. He lied so that he could be happy and now all the lambs were dead because of him.

The moral of the story is to not lie.
