some distant present

The pastor’s queer voice would not leave me alone.

My deprivation of sleep would not leave me alone.

The present scenario will not let me escape

The past only comes back to haunt me

The present frightens me

The future is bleak; so bleak I can’t see

They tell you what’s done is done, and

To look forward

But they never realised that there were beings that felt empty

I do not know myself, but likely I”m the same.

If only I studied more for the exams

the exams

If only I awaited the right moment…

If only we were here…

If only I… If only I had nothing to begin, then

I would not have felt so broken
