The Finale

They beat me on and on and on,

As time turns ice and silence spew,

My face is smeared, my shirt is torn,

Yet all this pain is far from new.

Tears let on as blood trickles down,

As I hopefully wait for a savior,

My feet are tied, my hands are bound,

What has led to this behaviour?

I remember the days when my Mother told,

Of a world where bullying was just a joke,

Where the weak could walk confident and bold,

And there was no cause for fear to evoke.

Yet here I am weaker and weaker,

As they continue on without mercy,

My tears run dry, my lips are bitter,

As I plead them on for sympathy.

This is the truth, the harsh reality,

Of a world where the weak no longer are free,

Desire burns for an opportunity,

For a savior to arise no matter the fee.

But here I am as my eyelids close,

As my life is ending so fearfully fast,

Yet hope pumps on, one final dose,

As I beg for me to be the last.
