They’re standing in front of you

But you can’t see them

Their eyes glisten in the never-ending sunlight

You stand in the darkness

They’re eyeing you from behind

But you can’t hear them

Their mouths mumble in the warmth of the moment

You stand in the cold

They’re nudging you on your left

But you can’t feel them

Their limbs advance in the music of the stars

You stand in the quiet

They’re cajoling you on your right

But you can’t taste it

Their hands grab from the abounding feast of life

You stand hungrily alone
