Escaping reality is easy with sleep.

The night was black, as was my mood,

I could not even stomach food,

My vision hazed, I could not see,

the waterfall in front of me.

I tumbled down, a free fall flop,

I tumbled fast, I could not stop.

I somersaulted through the stars,

I saw the sun, I gazed at Mars.

The little men in their space ship,

kindly offered me a lift,

They fed me cake, and poured me wine,

I had such an amazing time.

And then I stirred, began to wake,

feeling like a great big fake.

The dreams were faded, the wine all gone,

I felt that there was something wrong.

Reality hits like a wrecking ball,

I cannot hide, not anymore,

I fear I will never escape,

It all comes back once I'm AWAKE.
