I’m looking for you over my shoulder; I’m feeling you all under my skin

You’re sticking to the corner of my eye, and I can’t help that I’m focusing in

Zoom—goes the wind through my ears, the moment I spring, and am given to chase; not sure if you’re walking or skipping away, but already my heart’s been spurred in the race

Rushing—round and round I go, setting up traps to make your feet slow

You’re playing so nice, but I know this game; very soon will I have you locked up, on a chain

Eager…too eager! I’m losing my cool; I’m prowling around and acting a fool

My planning was good, my methods were clean; if only I hadn’t lost sight of the ring!

Would have been quite a catch, a prize-winning kill; oh would that your master had wished me no ill

I let down my guard; I loosened my grip

You were snatched back and caged…the second I tripped
