I wrote this poem as a way of showing how it feels sometimes when we feel like our actions are not our own and that we are trapped inside ourselves

The walls
As circular as a wall
As dark as night
it traps me

*Bang Bang*

I want escape
I hit the walls
The echoes get louder
But i meet defeat
"I want control"
"I want more choices"
"I want to choose to be brave or not"

But i dont get my wish
Because i dont hold the key
The body does
And it has me trapped inside

Marvellous piece of writing. The anguish really comes through.

Very effectively presented, and that last verse -- so true! A lot of feeling in a relatively short poem!
