Into the Mirror

Brown eyes carved out by the demons that keep me from sleep.

Mouth full of teeth, white from all the acid burning on my tongue.

Muscular limbs made from the determination it takes to get out of bed every day.

Black lungs, filled with the smoke of Deaths breath.

A smile on my face, to assure the ones around me that I’ll last.

A tear running down my face, because those that love me can’t seem to see my pain.

In the mirror is a girl made from “I’m ok’s.”

Through my eyes is a girl made from broken parts and demons on her shoulders.
