It was a dark night on the 31st of october. The bitter cold swept through the village of Lockersville, the wind howled and the fog seemed unsettling. There were few houses in lockersville, only three shops, one school, a sherrifs department and a doctors surgery. The only way in or out of the village was either by car or the bus which meant waiting by the stop outside of the forbidden forest.
The forest had earnt its name around three years previously when a group of unaware children sneaked into it at night trying to play hide and seek. At around twelve pm on a friday evening, three consecutive screams were heard and the children were never seen again. A search party was aranged but there was no hope, ripped t-shirts and blood was found along with scratches in the shape of claw marks, although Lockersville was a very remote village and so they were sure that they had no wild animals. The village sherrif forbid anyone from ever entering into the forrest again to prevent any more cases of violent deaths or dissapearences until an explanation for the childrens deaths could be uncovered.
Most of the village had gotten over the events in the forrest all that time ago, however young Leo still to this day was searching for awnsers, he had lost one of his friends in the dissapearance. Leo had dark black hair and green eyes. He wore a grey jumper and dark jeans often and stood at about six feet tall, he prefered moody colours. Leo lived just across the road from the forbidden forest. Every night he would go to his front room window and peek outside to see if he could catch anything unusual. He would take his camera and a torch in hopes that if he would see something, he would get proof of it on tape. He would even leave his camera rolling after he went up to bed.
Tonight all attempts of sleep failed. Leo went to his desk, picked up his camera and looked over his footage. For half an hour, he could see nothing, until suddenly, he froze. The camera dropped to the floor. Leo swallowed hard. He had seen a demonic-like face peering at the camera from an angle behind the trees. The figure seemed to be human as it stood in a tall position, however the face was paranormal, and the eyes seemed to be black.
The next morning, Leo went to school, he was dropped off in the car as he was too afraid to walk past the forrest. It was a boring day and the sky was still slightly dark. At around lunchtime the school was brought together to remember the children that had vanished three years ago. The headmaster began with, "you all know why we are here today" and Leo closed his eyes quickly. "a group of children from this very school dissappeared three years ago last night and i would like to remind you all of the events that occured" continued the head. "We did not want to loose any more of you" he explained. A minuetes silence was conducted. The rest of the day carried on quickly and soon  Leo was picked up again and taken home.
The night fell once again and Leo left his camera by the front room window. He locked his door this time, and feeling safer under the covers, he drifted off to sleep. Leo awoke in the midst of the night for the second time in a row. He tried to resist the urge to check his camera but the temptation soon had overtaken him. he crept downstairs with a torch fast, snatched the camera and ran upstairs. Leo had noticed the creature once more on his recording. He checked over the footage before soon realising that to his horror, it was getting closer to the lense.
Nights passed by and the creature continued to re-appear in Leo's footage. Each time it got closer and closer and closer, and then... IT WAS IN FULL VIEW. The body was very thin and did not need clothes as it was blacked out almost as if someone had blurred out the image on his camera. The creature had sharp claws and ragged hair. Before Leo could watch for long, a car passed by on the footage and the creature vanished into the night.
Leo tried to show his parents the footage but they both told him they could see nothing. Confused and frightened, Leo began to question his own sanity. He needed not to do this as he had no idea the horrific evidence of the creatures existence that was soon to come. In the fifth evening after the first sighting, the house was silent for the most part until Leo was awoken by a knocking on the window. he got up and slowly walked up to the window in his bedroom. Leo drew back the curtains. within three seconds, the windows smashed and the sound of lighting rang aloud. Leo was now exposed to whatever in the dark wilderness across the road wanted to come and get him.  A growling could be heard, getting louder and louder before sure enough, the creature emerged. The demonic figure lept through the window and towered above Leo. He shouted to his parents who dashed into his room to find a gasping, terrified Leo in a cold shock with a bite mark on his arm and scratch marks that lead back towards the window to which the creatured had left from.
From then on, Leo was never the same, he did not talk much and he threw away his camera. Leo refused to talk about what had happened that night and he kept to himself where possible. A month after the vivid sighting. Leo dissappeared into the forrest. To this day no one knows why.

The End.
