Jeffrey Dahmer

Its July 22, 1991, and I just received a call reporting a black male running nude down the road with handcuffs dangling off one wrist. As I located the suspect, he came up to the car. I stepped out of my vehicle and asked the suspect to explain to me why he is nude, and running down the road. As he was trying to respond he was still trying to catch his breath from there, I knew he had been running for some time. He responded saying a white male had him at his apartment and was threatening to kill him. I then asked him for the guys name and he stated that his name is “Jeffrey Dahmer.”  I suddenly remember that name in an instance, Jeffrey had been put into prison for fondling around with a young boy, and offering him $50 to pose for nude pictures. He was put into jail for 10 months. I then got the suspect in the car and asked him to take me to Dahmer’s apartment, because I wasn’t believing this guy. About ten minutes later we pulled into the apartment complex parking lot, then released the male from the backseat and had him take me to the  apartment.

As we reached the apartment door, I knocked very delicately not wanting to frighten or scare him away. Jeffrey immediately opened the door and let us in, immediately after walking into the apartment I could smell a horrible stinch almost like a dead animal. I explained to dahmer what the other male claimed and Dahmer responded saying “this is just a  misunderstanding and that he’s just drunk.” I had this feeling that something was wrong as I was looking around that apartment, I noticed polaroids of nude dismembered bodies. I quickly put handcuffs around his wrist and took him down to the station. Me and more officers returned back to his apartment and searched through the entire apartment. We discovered multiple one gallon barrels with body parts in them, and in the fridge was heads, skulls, finger limbs, and male parts.

After and hour of investigating the apartment  me and my officers took some pictures of the crime scene evidence and reported back to the station to confront  Jeffrey. As we pulled jeffrey into another room And showed him the pictures he admitted to killing and dismembering 17 people between 1978-1991 along with eating some of the remaining parts. We took dahmer to court and represented all the evidence and facts, and dahmer told the judge he was guilty, he was then sentenced to 15 life terms in prison. In court jeffrey had stated “I take all the blame for what I have done.” Although Wisconsin has no death penalty, Dahmer told the judge he wished he could be put to death for the "holocaust" he had created.

3 years later, Dahmer was beaten to death by a fellow inmate Charles Sarver. The town was finally able to come to peace and feel safe, although his family was upset over the loss of their son it was a good thing for the community. Jeffrey Dahmer is now known as the “Milwaukee cannibal-murderer.” Dahmer knew what he had done was wrong, "I know society will never be able to forgive me," Dahmer stated.
