horror. animal cruelty.

The Breaking Of The Fast

The savage sacrifice

Has followed god's rules,

The animals suffered

In the morning cruel.

Now in the evening cool

They gather, hell's ghouls,

Blood dripping from their lips

Like red satanic jewels.

Interesting concept and it flowed nicely. Short and a little dark, I like it

It never ceases to amaze me why a supposed God that creates all living things would actually find some stupid human sacrificing its creations to venerate him as something good. He's gone to all of that effort, just to have its throat slit by moronic man.
I loved the last two lines, very visceral.

Thanks Sharief, yes animals seem to better behaved then a lot humans, they don't kill for pleasure like we do, and I think they are treated very badly by us at times!
