Isdako, a small island village in the South Sudic Ocean. This is the only world that Kai has ever known, has ever wanted to know. When given the chance to travel to distant lands, he chose to stay
and watched his brother sail away. That was two years ago. He has not returned. But when an odd scientist arrives in Isdako, Kai is again given the chance to travel to unknown lands to find his
brother.

This is seriously the best writing I've read on this site in a while lol. Excellent job with your pacing and adding in all the little details about the culture and such is quite enticing and rewarding in world building. Excellent job!

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it. My favorite part about writing these types of stories is the world building and creating cultures, so I'm glad you liked those elements. I really develop the culture in the following chapters and expand the world to encompass different lands. Thanks for your input!

Well, I'm not a fan of hunting of any kind, but your descriptions of the ocean, of the culture and the environment were spot on. I'll definitely be reading more, J. R.

Glad you liked it. And Kai is not the biggest fan of killing either. In fact, that's a pretty crucial plot point in this story. Thank you for your input!
