The Perfect Husband


“Crystal, I’ve got the perfect husband. I mean, he’s always there for me. He never says

one nasty word to me. He always listens. He even cuddles with me every night.”

“Sounds to good to be true. I’ve got to meet this guy.”

“Come over for a dinner party Saturday night, around 9:00.”

“Crystal, how nice to see you.” Jean took her friend’s coat, and draped it over the


“I brought some wine for the meal. I wasn’t sure what we were eating, so I brought

white, and red.”

“Lovely, dear.” Jean set the wine on a doilee, in the center of the lace tablecloth.

“Oh, you’ve got your best silverware out.”

“Now for the main course,” Jean grinned as she lifted the silver cloche, revealing a

rack of lamb.

“C’mon, Crystal replied, “Introduce me to that husband of yours.”

Jean pushed the chair closer to the table. “This is Mark.”

Crystal became queasy as she stared into the unblinking eyes of the bearded man.

He was dressed in a tuxedo, and had a bouquet of flowers clutched against his chest. A

permanent smile was fixed upon his face. He appeared to be a human taxidermy project!
