I was your everything.
You looked up to me.
You loved me.
You needed me.

You admired how strong I was.
Tough.
Stood up for what I believed in.
Was stubborn in all my ways.
And I broke your heart when I left.

We spend hours on the phone.
You listened to me ramble.
You took my shit.
My rude comments.
My conceited ways.
My condescending.

Then you had enough.

But here is the thing.
You can’t have me for 10 years.
Then go cold turkey.
Oh no honey.
I know you miss me.

I left the country and you couldnt take it.
Bear to think I was gone.
And I told you I was never coming back.
But you still held on.
And I know you still are.

But I out grew you.
And for that I’m sorry.
Sorry that youre pathetic.
That you needed me.
Because I taught you a lesson.

Never rely on anyone.
Not even me.
The one who pushed you to succeed in life.
And now I say goodbye.

I don’t need you.
Although you need me.
So ill teach you a new lesson.
Stand on your own two feet.
It’ll make you strong so stand.
I did and look at me.
Im at the top of the world.
Im the king looking down at you.
The peasant drowning in the mud.

You’re a fool.
