Evelyn Glass has a thirst for revenge! And it’s the kind of vengeance that can only end in death.

Evelyn was once a happily married woman to a man she thought was her hero. After losing her beloved former spouse and father to her daughter Casey; Evelyn thought she had turned over a new leaf with Steven Gordon. But Steven Gordon was not who he seemed to be. Steven Gordon is a rapist!

A few months ago, Evelyn lost her only daughter sixteen-year-old Casey to suicide. Casey was a victim to Steven, who unbeknownst to Evelyn, was raped at only fourteen years of age.

And the justice system failed them both. After a lengthy trial that ended in a mistrial for “lack of evidence”, Steven Gordon was set free. And upon hearing this, Casey’s depression and inability to cope drove her to commit suicide at such a young age. And Evelyn is beyond grief-stricken. And so she has decided to give her daughter the justice she so very much deserves and was unable to obtain.

So on a peaceful and seemingly ordinary night; Evelyn made her way to Steven Gordon’s house just thirty minutes away from the home they once shared together. And she slid inside through the unlocked back door and walked into the kitchen very carefully as she browsed around. Steven was heard coughing and coming down the stairs. In her hand, she carried a black Magnum revolver and very silently stepped into the living room where she stands right before Steven who is giving his back to her.

“Turn around, Steven”, she speaks very calmly.

“Evelyn!” he gasps in utter astonishment. Evelyn raises her gun and aims it at him. Steven raises his hands.

“Evelyn, are you insane?”

“What are you doing here?!”

“This is the part that you beg for your worthless life, Steve”, she notifies.

“I promise you, I am not bluffing. I have been planning this moment since Casey left this world. So I suggest you comply because I will shoot to kill”, she warns him and he takes a deep breath.

His heartbeat accelerates because he sees his ex-wife isn’t the kind of person to speak in vain.

“Please, let’s just talk about this, Evelyn. You won’t possibly get away with killing me”, he says.

“Well, we’ll just have to see about that”, she says as she walks towards him.

“Now walk over there”, she points him to the staircase which isn’t really as high. It’s just the perfect height.

“Evelyn, what are you doing?” he keeps asking.

“Walk you scumbag, walk up the steps”, she commands and he complies.

They get to the second floor and Evelyn pulls a thick rope out with a noose already tightly made from inside her black trench coat and commands him to tie the other end to the railing of the stairwells.

“Evelyn, please, don’t do this!” he begs.

“Do it, dammit! And you better make sure that knot is tight! Your father was a Navy Seal, you should know”, she tells him pistol whipping him across the face.

“Now tie this around your neck”, she points at the noose.

“Evelyn, I beg you, stop!” he cries.

“Now you jump, you bastard. You will die just like Casey did”, she says.

“Climb over the fucking rail and jump or I will shoot you! I will make you beg for mercy. I will shoot your knees, your arms, I will make you hurt and bleed to death if you don’t do as I fucking say!” Evelyn shouts.

“I’m sorry, Evelyn”, the coward Steven Gordon cries and weeps with tears smeared all over his face.

“Jump over now, dammit!” She yells.

“Evelyn, please!” he cries some more and Evelyn pushes the release lever of the revolver getting ready to pull the trigger.

Mr. Gordon climbs over the rail as he trembles and before he can say anything further, Evelyn pushes him down and watches his body struggle as it hangs not too far from the floor but just enough to keep him in the air. She rushes downstairs and sits on the couch in front and watches him trying to pull the noose off of himself.

“I made you kill yourself, just like you did to Casey”, she says to him as he wiggles and moans until…he stops.

For Evelyn Glass, this is the justice she has given her daughter. And although she is aware it won’t bring Casey back; Steven Gordon’s death gave her hope. He will not hurt anyone else anymore. And Evelyn has quenched her thirst.
