Broken once again...

I can’t deny it; I’m broken down,

With a deep breath I look around.

Nobody’s watching; that, I make sure,

People would say I’m insecure.

They’ll think I’m weak because I cry,

“What’s the matter?” it’s best I lie.

‘Nothing is wrong, I am okay’,

This is the speech I always say.

The internal pain that I do feel,

In silence, in time; I’m meant to heal.

An open wound I have today,

Because of you I feel this way.

But you’re amiss; my wails you drown,

You just don’t care if I’m broken down.

A very emotional poem, jaylisbeth. Trying to put on a brave face -- know that well. Sometimes things just hurt too much.

You are reaching your emotional depths, and your soul is starving. Knowing you are my friend, it's getting quite harrowing reading what you are going through, knowing that there is no remedy, no words, or no actions that can manipulate the length of time it will take for you to be honestly OK again, into one second that will take all of this away, and you can feel what your heart deserves. I want to find this for you, because I want you to feel some happiness Lisbeth. This is beautiful poetry that you write, and I could only dream of matching the emotional rhyming that you write. It's some of the most deepest I will read, because it is so personal. I hope you find a comfortable place Lisbeth, because you are your heart deserve the sun of summer, and not the storms of winter.

Oh JB, this is such a desperate, soul baring poem. I hope you find some solace soon. I think everyone can relate to the 'I'm fine' lie in tough times. Life can be hard... hang on in there and take comfort from what gives you pleasure and who you hold dear.

It's not weak to express your emotions, Lisbeth. It's healthy, and it's the mark of a strong person that they can expel the sorrow in their tears and pick themselves back up again. We all need to cry every now and again - it's good for us, for our mind and for our heart that we get rid of the negativity building inside of us. Never feel ashamed for expressing yourself. You're doing yourself a favour, even if you're criticized for it. You are strong! The fact that you get up and try every day proves that! Never doubt yourself, my dear! You're a warrior!
