Gandor seems wise and full of purpose. He senses that all is not well, but knows that in the moment he is happy. A loving relationship with his wife and make shift family are blessings to him. There is foreshadowing here and it feels like the calm before the storm. All things are connected and the wizard in his decisions has caused ripples that we will see fan out with outcomes we hope he may overcome. So far quite a delight to read and I look forward to learning more of this Gandor and his world.

I do thank you for reading this first chapter Amy. Its true, this is the calm before the storm. But its not just Gandor but the action of others that effect all those around him.
