Refuge alas,

allowing no trespass .

Unto the ones that slay hearts.

With the lethal poison

of verbal darts .

Afraid of anything that's different.

We are all human beings.

Regardless of the ailments

on our angel wings.

Actions speak louder than words

but, words can haunt forever.

The unknown lies In twists and turns .

Sadness is a pendulum lever.

The tail end of a laugh .

Occupied by judgement .

Trying so hard to ignore the fact

that the world can be so pungent.

Refuge alas ,

from the pain I have excluded .

Heart on stilts ,and a shelter built

from the cruelty I have eluded.

Bolted life

and a soul in bars

a temporary heaven

beyond the stars.

Shining bright ,

a heart so rare .

In a hundred years

who will care ?

The streets are filled

with debris so vast .

Spreading away from my refuge .

At last..
