When I fly above the clouds I find myself thinking about you

I watch those white sheep shapes and image that you’re there

Flying around with great wings, jumping from sheep to sheep

I am no believer, but sometimes I wish that I was

And that you’d really be there, watching me inside the plane

Maybe it’s because you’ve never been on a plane

And that your first time would have been with us

But the cruel world never let you get that far

There were only a few month left

And you were so excited about your first flight

Every time I find myself in the sky I feel closer to you

Closer than I’ve ever felt, while being on the ground

I so desperately hope that you’re flying with us

Wishing that you experience how great it is

The feeling to be free and out of reach

I can picture you sitting here

All nervous, but you wouldn’t let it show

You would mask it with your silly riddles

And maybe you would admit it a few years later

But that’s something we’ll never know

And here I am, still flying without you

But I’ve learned to smile, while thinking of you

To believe that your short life was worth a lifetime

To image that you’re somewhere on those clouds

To know that you will never be forgotten

And that our friendship will last until the end of time
