A rather fantastical poem that looks indirectly at a phoenix.

The phoenix takes flight on wings of flame,

Soaring like a meteor across the sky,

And no one knows from whence it came;

And all that hear its eerie cry

Look up to the heavens in awe,

And breathe a deep wistful sigh,

Wishing that by some bygone flaw,

They too could be like that lovely creature

Flying toward the dark depths of Earth’s maw.

A beautiful tribute to that bird of flames, Amara! A lovely read.
