Abreaction

Thoughts that are buried oh, so deep,

secrets that you want to keep;

we’ve decided on their subtraction,

you can have an abreaction.

We’re going to dig in to those parts,

you’ve locked up with your psychic arts;

this drug we give will make you talk

as through your mental maze we walk.

But still you’ve gone and built a wall,

one that’s strong and really tall.

You’re fighting back, this should not be

you should be obeying me;

don’t keep those secrets, let them out,

come on, just you scream and shout.

But still defiant, you stay mute,

but really it’s just you you shoot;

for from that digging thoughts are stirring,

mental gears already whirring.

Keep your secrets from my ears,

carry them hidden for many years.

Those walls will stay, the damage done;

some recover – you won’t be one.

My fingers dredged right through your brain

and messed up memories which you retain.
