The election was finally over and the winner was not what many wanted, but some of those "Many" voted for him anyway.

The "Win" wasn't anything to brag about, but that didn't stop the winner. He made rash statements saying his win proved that he had a mandate from all the people. Then within a few days he revised that statement and said that it was the people from the important states that gave him his victory, even if he did win by a minority of the electorate he won a majority or the states.

It seemed odd to many that even during the election he did this same sort of thing. He would say one thing on a certain day, then he would say something different, about the same subject, later

In the world of politics they call this "Flip-Flopping" and it goes on now and then. However, this person was Flip-Flopping regularly, more than anyone could remember a politician doing.

Some people thought that he was becoming senile, due to his age. Others thought that he was taking medications that were affecting his memory. Still, others thought he was just messing with people's minds and thought it amusing.

Whatever the case, it was unsettling to many. And it was embarrassing to some that thought that the office he held needed a firm and decisive leader; not a loose cannon. They wanted a leader that said what he meant and meant what he said.

Theodore Roosevelt once told a reporter, "I don't want to be the old cannon loose on the deck in a storm."

The statement was a reference to a time before there were fixed-turret guns on ships. Before that, ship's cannon were mounted on wheels so that they could be rolled between gun ports. If one of these cannons broke free during a storm it could do great damage to ship and crew alike; thus came the phrase and it's meaning, "Loose Cannon".

Ah well, Presidents come and Presidents go; thank God. And who knows the reasons that they do what they do?

My method for picking any candidate is simple, and it has nothing to do with party politics, or allegiances.

I do my research, ignore the news, and pick the lesser of the evils that fit my criteria.

After 50 years of voting I have come to understand that I am never going to find everything I want in a candidate, or their party. I have come to understand that one party wants my money to use for social reasons and the other party wants my money to benefit the rich and business.

Well, that is just my opinion and I know that there are others out there that do not agree. Luckily we live in a country where opinions can vary and can be voiced. But I will leave the rest of my political thoughts for another time and get back to the story.

The proverbial fly on the wall has entered the President's upstairs living area and is listening to the conversation going on within.

Shall we join that fly?

"I rolled the higher number --- so I get to be President today! That was the agreement, Right?! Each morning we roll the dice and the one with the highest number is president for the day!

I'm talking to you! --- Will you put that phone down and stop that ridiculous Tweeting?

We have an agreement and you need to keep your end of the bargain! If you don't, well I'll just have to tell the press that the voters of this country elected twins.
