I want to believe the compliments giving to me by others.

I want to trust the things said to me by my mother.

I want to believe that every compliment is true.

I want to trust my own judgement and ideas that are new.

Instead I sit alone, not trusting my face, it's etched like stone.

A screen of ones and zeros stares back as I sit alone.

It's true, I have to learn to trust someone else,

But I also want to believe in myself.
