It was a Saturday night, the house was quiet all you could hear was the loud rain banging on the roof. I quietly snuck downstairs in the kitchen my baby brother was asleep on my hip, as I put his raincoat on and grabbed the clear umbrella he started to wake up and realize where he was.

''What are you doing up in the middle of the night, better yet what am I doing up in the middle of the night?" He said.''Nothing, just go back to sleep and I'll give you a cookie'' I walked over to the cookie jar where mom always baked a fresh batch of cookies, I stuck my hand in the jar and grabbed a big round cookie still warm from the oven. As I handed him the cookie I heard a whispering sound on the front porch and mumbling in the hall, then a light turned on the hallway, I shoved my little brother, Trey under the table "OW!" he exclaimed in a loud and hurtful voice, I hid behind the fridge hoping my mom would not see me.

"What is all this commotion about," She said walking into the kitchen. she looked around (not good enough) and went to go check our rooms, luckily  I had pillows and silicone heads under the cover. (don't ask where the heads came from.) after a while, the hallway light went off and I heard snoring so I knew we were in the clear."That was a close one, now try and be quiet."I said in almost a yelling whisper voice.

"Okay, okay, I will but where exactly are we going and when can we get back?"

"Don't worry, we'll be back in the morning before mom wakes up again "

"That's good and all but you still didn't tell me where we're going," he said.

It took me a minute to think about how I was going to put what I was going to say next.

I said in a quietly stern voice,"Our Father is alive and I know where he is."
