A Real Horror Story

 By M L Tillman

You grew up hearing stories of monsters and horrific creatures that would give you nightmares. You see pictures in books and movies in theaters that will have you clinching your teeth and trembling with fear. Have you ever wondered where people come up with these ideas? Have you ever wondered if there was any truth behind the stories?

Truth is much scarier than fiction. The things you say and do are observed by the dark side, Satan and his demons. When you create the impression you are evil, you are opening up doors. The devil may not be able to read your mind but I do believe He can put thoughts in your head. How many times have you heard a person say they heard a voice and it convinced them to do something terrible? When victims talk about their attackers, quit often they say their assailants' eyes were black with no soul. Some people see ghosts. Ghost are demons. The scariest book ever written is Revelations in the Bible. If you didn't know what you were reading you would think it was a Steven Spielberg movie script. It has everything a freighting horror story has but there is one difference, it is real!

I grew up going to church and even I have experienced what I believe was temptation from the devil. I am a very compassionate person with too much empathy for everyone I meet. I would never dream of harming another person but one day many years ago in the middle of the day surrounded by family, I had a very strong feeling come over me. It was so strong it scared me. The voice wanted me to hurt someone I was holding who was very small. I shook with fear resisting this feeling, this voice. My faith in Christ helped me over come this evil presence but it had me trembling. I can't imagine someone without Christ in their life trying to overcome the devil and His demons. The devil will attack everyone, even Christians. Satan knows that once a person is saved He will not get their soul but He won't stop trying to win you over and make your life miserable by getting you to make bad choices that hurt you and the people in your life. You need God in your heart to beat these temptations. Even Christians give into sin from time to time but the good news is that if you repent and it is sincere, God will forgive you. The only sin you will not be forgiven of is rejecting Christ. On another occasion when I was young, I was emotionally upset to the point where I heard a voice tell me to stab myself. Again, I overcame it.

This life is not your permanent home. It is a short journey that will determine where you will spend eternity. You will spend it with your Creator who loves you or you will spend it with Satan. The choice is yours. In heaven, love surrounds you. God's love is so strong and over powering there will be no more tears or sorrows. People who have experienced heaven did not want to come back to this life. On the other hand, people who experienced hell, said it was terrifying. It changed these people in a positive way. I believe God allows some people to experience life after death so they can tell their stories to give us encouragement. To keep us fighting for Him and to resist Satan. Once this life ends, if you are not saved, it will be too late. You have to receive Christ in this life. The gift of eternal life is free. All you have to do is speak to God in a prayer. Tell Him that you believe Christ died for your sins and then was resurrected. Ask him to forgive you for the sins you have committed. There is no sin to big to be forgiven. If you are sincere, you will receive the spirit of the Holy Ghost and you will be saved. You then must put your faith in Christ and try to live your life according to God's will. When you sin, which is human nature, ask God to forgive you. God is your Father. He loves His children. God loves you!
