I've never understood

How a few individuals

can somehow think

they are better

than everyone else.

I was never part of their groups

Never looked my nose down on others

I saw people as puzzle pieces

And how some aren't meant to be next to each other

but they all fit into the grander scheme of things.

And yet the elitist few

Feel they are the center of it all.

Oh well.

I'd rather be my lowly self

and know what I know

and know at the end of the day

All of us end up the same way.
