A man describing the empty feeling of not having someone to love but holding on to the hope that one day, he will find the one.

We’re all just jigsaw pieces searching for our perfect puzzle,

Words in riddles not yet solved on minds of listeners who are troubled,

Works of fiction in the ink of some mad, manic writer’s pen,

Punchlines of the jokes that come from hurt inside comedians.

A role-play kink of cat and mouse, our roles are interchanging,

Who you want won’t ever want you back, until you’re disengaging.

A Russian doll of lovers, start to seem the same with time,

Until you’re left with her who’s small, but whole and you can call her “mine.”
