Some things never stop. Time is one of them. MThe movuing of time is something that can never be stopped and is a constant in life, and it begs the question of whether or not you have appreaciated each second you have. Humans have a tendency to look back and romanticize their own lives, searching for the ‘golden age’ where everythign was right and perfect in the world. This tendency can be dangerous because of the unwillingness to look forward and stay in the moment. Of all the periods of my life, I choose to think that there are better times ahead, instead of dwelling on the past. Because of this, I believe that adulthood will be the best time for me. There are many wonderful things about being an ‘adult’, and despite the different definitions of it and the fear of aging, it is also the time in life when you have the most opportunities. The transition fro m teenag years to adulthood can be pertrifying: Suddenly your life is filled with options and choices it never had been before. These opportunities to make you rown decisions and live life spontaneously are what makes life worth living. Even if you hhave a 9-05 job every day, each weekend is full of opportunities to learn something new, or spend a day somewhere new. This endless expanse of exploration and the option to explore is what makes adulthood the greatest time of ones life. I am looking forawrd to the future and what it might bring, and hoping that I wil make the right decisions in my life to keep me happy, and if not, then I can still go from there. Life can always get better, but the past is set in stone. You cannot change mistakes once they’ve been made, but simply adapt and move on. This is why it is better to look forward and believe that your best years are ahead, because in romanticizing the past, there only lies heartbreak.
