Heart in hand I stand at the gates figures laughing and talking behind it. Reaching up to the black figured hate keeper who simply pointed to the key hole in the gate. My heart..did not fit. Taking my heart back and putting it into my perfect key hole in my chest I left the gates walking upstream of all those that entered. Looking in the mirror at the heart that betrayed my desire but filled me with hope I took it out and traded it for a new one. Returning to the gate keeper who only gave me a grin as the gates opened. Walking in, heart in hand as I was greeted with open arms only for when I try to place the heart inside my own key hole...it did not fit. Looking around at the figures I realized I couldn't be part of this world as myself. Trading my true self for a world I did not belong in.
