Seeing shouldn't be believing

One-channel wonders don't get the big picture.

To be well-informed and sure,

not just echo an echo chamber version,

avoid the Kool-Aid immersion.

Best not to believe everything you see,

the happy or sad face they show to you and me

is news skewered though the spin cycle,

slanted one way or the other. We live in denial,

echoing their propaganda that's often criminally off-base,

they claim never happened, or ignore, whatever the case

And so we shout around, blissfully unaware.

We blindly accept what we see, a one-track stare.

We are puppets on their string, dancing to their tune.

Watch several channels before you howl at the moon,

don't let them tell you what you should be loving or hating,

for it's the song of money, ideology, and ratings.

Thanks, Hull, and I had to completely rearrange it, so I hope it makes sense.
