All these years

I smile

I laugh

You don't see what's inside

There's a darkness

Deep down

Sticking with me

Through each tragedy

You don't see

The Agony

The Despair

This hearts been through so much

Looks like I've got it all figured out

Each day is a struggle

Each day I carry on

With this darkness inside

It wants to grow

It wants to escape

I'll push it back

I'll pull it in

This darkness can't win!

The very short lines give this poem extra power. Very well-composed!
