He sat there as if he were alone,

Eyes fixated and face hardened,

Weilding his weapon tightly between his fingers,

Allowing him to remain guarded

She sat so still and calmly across,

In her inevitable transparency,

As he mad his weapon dance on the page,

To the tune of his internal symphony

She tries to listen...

He is an enigma,

Triggering her long lost wonder,

A shadow that somehow emits warmth,

And matched her own sweet somber

Yet there he sat so strongly guarded,

Weilding his weapon against the girl,

For no one could hear his symphony,

It was his and his only, not the world's.
