Life and death.

BED OF ETERNITY

As I lay cold on the pale shoulders of death, Laid peacefully on a bed beneath the crust.

Life is like a jewel dropped in an ocean, It glitters only as far as it can be seen Only to be buried in mud.

My soul aboard on the ship of infinity, It's destination far from the shore of life and dreams altogether.

Only yesterday I was vibrant amongst my peers, Chasing dreams and feelings, Now cuddled with soil on the bed of eternal sleep.

We live to someday live no more, We love to part in tears, We thrive to someday "rest in peace".

...people are strange, Today a man is full of breath and energy -- and tomorrow he is laid still and drained of life?

In cold, In darkness, With tearful eyes waving Adieus!
