A context heavy interpretation of the impending doom we all face.

Fire in my veins, ice through my heart

Steam doth burn beyond yon pores

Spewing forth in glorious storm

A cloud of death hangs and drapes,

Over hunched shoulders and humanly shape.

From the clouded veil, a talon of dread.

Reaching through rain, it slowly descends

Crimson fangs shine within the breath

And shivers send their sign of impending ends.

To what do we know if knowing is all.

How do we see if blinded in soul?

Burn out your eternity in just a small breath

Live your last wish.

Lest, tomorrow becomes Death.

Well, Akumakaze, that was unexpectedly atmospheric! A talon of dread -- I'm liking that image a lot.

Thanks, Hully. I think I drew that part from one of my other poems. "A Dragon's Claw" was the title I believe. Some similar imagery was imparted from it to this one.

Whoa! No matter how you twist and turn, it'll get you every time. No avoiding it.

Yep, sometimes the twisting and turning veers you straight into it much faster. Thanks for the read, Bill.
