Run With Me

Don’t be afraid,

I am your friend,

we’ll journey forward

to descend

in to these woods,

so dark, so deep,

and your freedom

I’ll safe-keep.

We’ll race around,

so wild, so free,

you’re safe from harm

while you’re with me.

Further in

we’ll surely go,

you’re tiring now

so I will slow.

Rest for a while,

I’ll keep you warm,

protect you from

the coming storm;

once it has past,

once you have rested,

we’ll pick up speed,

not be contested.

Race with me

through woods so wild,

step through the branches,

leaves all piled;

we’ll soon be safe,

you will know when

we’re back inside

our cosy den.

And there we’ll stay,

just wild and free,

me with you

and you with me.
