As he looks out over his adoring congregation,

he gloats inside-he's on every station


He looks with carefully concealed disgust,

so gullible, so easy to make them distrust


They are his Kool-Aid puppets, and he pulls their strings,

and he is the master of this Kool-Aid house of worship, brings


the faithful to their feet by attack, attack, attack

The old ways of politics are over, and never coming back


A new day is here, and the Preacher is happy and smug,

His sheep fill the collection plate while he lies like a rug


They seem to forgive him no matter how bad the offense,

Wanting to believe overrides their common sense


He knows this, and plays on their paranoid fears,

They are his protection, demanding all four years,


and they hope it's eight, which he himself is unsure about,

he never expected to win, but knows all he has to shout


is 'fake news!' or how the media's against him every step of the way

and they'll rise up and scream--yes, the future is a cloud-obscured day!
