Lars Eller has re-signed with the Capitals.

 

There was a big contract signing in the National Hockey League.

The Washington Capitals have announced that the club has re-signed Lars Eller to a five-year, $17.5 million contract extension.

This season, Eller has 11 goals, 17 assists, and 28 points after playing 53 games.

Eller, picked 13th overall in the 2007 Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, has played nines seasons in the NHL.

In his nine year career, Eller has 96 goals, 113 assists, and 209 points after playing 576 games.

Rumor Mill: Three Teams Eying Karlsson.

Word Has it that there's three teams pursuing Ottawa Senator's, defefenseman, Erk Karlsson.

Ottawa, however, is not in a big hurry to trade Karlsson.

The three teams rumored to offer Ottawa a trade for the four-time All-Star are: the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Rangers.

Karlsson has five goals, 31 assists, 36 points and a plus-minus rating of -23 this season.

Another trade rumor circling around the hockey world involves Ranger's player, Michael Grabner.

The Kings and the Calgary Flames are the teams rumored to seeking Grabner.

Grabner has 22 goals, five assists, and 27 points this season.
